For some reason everything seems to be taking me so long to do this month. Does anyone else feel like that at the beginning of the year? Or prehaps it's the January/February blues, I've never been great at this time of the year. Really longing for the Spring to start!

My focus for last month was on filming and editing YouTube videos. But as I didn't do a lot of painting during November and December I was feeling a bit rusty and quite a few pictures ended up in the bin. But I seem back on track with that.

I've managed to get five videos up for January. I was particularly please with the magnolia flowers, which was a bit more challenging than I usually do. The other picture I really liked was the Valentine's teddy bear. But I've always loved teddy bear since I was little.

I've now got all my new prints put in mockups ready to go on the shop. I've also bought in some mounts, so when the shop update is done, which should be completed over the next couple of weeks, I will be selling A5 prints in A4 size mounts and A4 size prints in A3 size mounts. This has taken me quite sometime to sort out. But hopefully this may appeal to people.

During February, as well as painting and filming videos for YouTube I'm also going to start on a couple of large A1 pieces, one in watercolour and the other in graphite pencil. I've been longing to tackle something big for quite a white. So I've managed to get my angled drawing table put together again and hope to start something in the next week or two. Will have to see how that goes.

So whilst I no longer bother with New Year resolutions, I do still have plans, especially when it comes to my art business (whether they come about or not is by the way!). 

So my plans this year are:

To continue trying to build my YouTube channel. Lots of ideas of things to paint for that. I'm also going to try to include some beginner level paintings, at least once a month. I was given some new paint sets for Christmas, so I'll be unboxing and swatching those in videos. And I'll perhaps do some getting inspiration type videos (not sure on this one, we'll see!).

I joined the Pembrokeshire Craft Makers group at the tail end of last year. So I'll be joining in with exhibiting/selling work with them through their various venues in Pembrokeshire, which include Colby Gardens (April -November) and their other venues at various points during this period, including Newport, St Davids and possibly a couple of other places.

I'm going to also look at possibly taking part in some craft fayres during the year, especially pre Christmas.

I'll be keeping my website here up todate with new prints and products. It's due an update this month! I'll also be starting to sell my prints mounted, as well as unmounted. I've got some stickers to go on, as well as magnets and possibly keyrings. I may come up with some other ideas as I go through the year. I post to both the UK and abroad.
